We had come up with this idea a bit ago to rent a cabin on Mt. Rainier, part of the Mount Tahoma Trail Association, for a night over the break and ski and/or snow shoe in to enjoy a beautiful night in a beautiful place with some semi beautiful people. Information about the huts can be found HERE, the image above if of high hut, which I was thinking would be our best option, as we could rent the whole thing and the views are incredible. Schedules over the break will vary, and probably not every one will be able to to go, but we should try our best. My thoughts were for the day after Thanksgiving (11/25)

Also anyone out side of this group is welcome as well, but we need to keep it close to 8 people, If more interest is drummed up we could think about copper creak hut which sleeps 14
I will be home around the 25th and wouldn't want to be anywhere else but with y'all up at them there huts.

So, can everyone do 2 nights? the 25th and 26th? might as well make the most of our time up there
Is the 25th thanksgiving night itself? If so, there might be some family conflict there, usually we all dine together. I am free the next few days after though, and could be convinced of giving thanks with y'all if we sledded a feast up and it didn't prevent others from coming.

Hmm... as thanksgiving weekend will be the only time I go home this quarter I think it would be best to spend more than one night with my famdamly. That is to say I would prefer a one night trip. maybe we could have a group that stays two nights and a group that stays one. at any rate I wouldn't want to impede the group if consensus was two nights. Also, the 25th is best for me but the 26th would also work.
I'm flying out at 11:00 am on the 26th, so my chances at being able to go are slim.
The 25th is the Friday after thanksgiving, the 26th would be saturday. So the proposition is for those two nights. I was going to send in my reservation request tomorrow, (yes sending by mail, as this place is archaic and does not do reservations online or by phone) but that could be postponed a bit to see about a leaving early option, really that will be on michael to decide, because my car will be there both nights. It would be good to know because I need to list the # of people per night for the reservation, it is possible that I could change that afterwards but I am not certain.
Kim;s memorial is going to be on Saturday the 26th at 1 pm, which conflicts with day 2 of the copper creek trip. We need to consider this
Man, lots of conflicting things. It's a ways to go for one night, but I've done it before... Kim's memorial dictates where I'll be on the 26th...
Could a two day trip happen over winter break more conveniently?
Yes, that certainly takes priority for me. It would be very difficult to make it back to the island by 1 the next day....
